Faith in Action
Sunday, January 11, 18, & 25 at 9:05 am
Fellowship Hall
On the dates above, we’ll be having a three-week sermon series that will focus on our new member ministry called Faith in Action. Along with the sermon series, the pastors will be leading a Bible study related to the theme of the day – Faith Supported, Faith Shared, and Faith in Service. We’ll take a look at different sections of Scripture where we’re called and motivated to play a part in the ministry of God’s kingdom, both here at church and in all the callings we have.
A Study of World Religions
Starts February 1 - Sundays at 9:05 am
Fellowship Hall
Pastors Olson and Ehlke will be leading an eight-week study on different world religions and how they attempt to answer life’s most important questions (like what is God like, who is Jesus, how am I saved, etc.). Each week, we’ll see what Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism teach and how the Bible answers those same questions.
Starting Point
Starts January 4 - Sundays at 9:05 am
Music Room (Upstairs Hallway of New School Building)
Questions about the Bible? New to the Christian faith? Has it been more than five years since you’ve attended Starting Point? Pastor Krause will begin a new Starting Point class which covers the main teachings of the Bible and gives clear answers to life’s biggest problems and questions. The atmosphere is relaxed and questions are encouraged. If you have any questions, talk to Pastor Krause – skrause@stpaulsonalaska.org.
Starting Point 5.0: Apologetics - Defending your Faith
Starts January 7 - Wednesdays at 6:30 pm
Grace Chapel
Pastor Ehlke will lead our Wednesday night Starting Point 5.0 class. We’ll meet for six weeks before the season of Lent begins. Over the last few years, we’ve covered the Old Testament, the Gospels, and the book of Acts. Over these six weeks, we will be thinking about how we can defend and share our faith, especially with those who have objections about Christianity. We’ll think through key questions like “how do I know the Bible is reliable?, How do I know God exists?”, and more. If you need childcare, reach out to Pastor Ehlke: behlke@stpaulsonalaska.org.
